Vetting Protocols

Due Diligence for a Safer Community

The Art of the "Slow Reveal"

In a high-trust community, vetting isn't about being paranoid—it's about being professional. A legitimate Master, Handler, or Alpha will **never** rush your vetting process. If they do, that is your first red flag.

THE VETTING CHECKLIST
Individual Check
  • History: How long have they been in the community?
  • Consistency: Does their story change over time?
  • References: Do they have long-term friends or former partners who speak well of them?
Dynamic Check
  • Consent: Do they respect "No" in small, non-sexual contexts?
  • Pressure: Are they pushing for "ownership" or "tags" immediately?
  • Isolation: Do they try to pull you away from your existing friends?

The "Back-Channel" Protocol

Never rely solely on what a person tells you about themselves. Use the community infrastructure to verify.

Search Registry Check the IBB registry for status and history.
Ask Admins Admins often know the "whisper network" history.
Observation Watch how they treat people "lower" than them.

Your Safety is Your Sovereignty.

If a vetting process makes someone angry or defensive, you have found your answer. **Walk away.**
